Living for the Win

Hi I’m Shannon and Living for the Win is my happy place. I launched it because… well there is actually a long list of reasons and that list continues to grow. But basically, Living for the Win is where my passion for people and desire to share my faith meet my life experiences.

First, Living for the Win exists because I love people and am passionate about sharing. Y’all I have gone through some junk! My story is filled with incredible blessings, intense voids, and a great deal of love, loss, and learning. We all have stories and we all have lessons we’ve learned along the way. I was blessed with the gift of vulnerability. That doesn’t mean that I have a super human strength and don’t worry about what people think. But it does mean that I’m not afraid to share some of my heart and some of my messy life if I think it can help someone else.

Sharing my story

In 2007, Brandi Carlisle released a song called The Story. It was written by Phil Hanseroth and has some of the most beautiful lyrics I’ve every heard. If you don’t know the song, by all means go listen to it. But in these lyrics, this artist refers to life experiences and the importance of sharing those experiences.

Maybe Living for the Win exists because of my willingness to share. Or maybe it’s simply a place of positivity where, together, we can retreat when we need to do so. Perhaps, I’ve created these pages because I want to connect to people that share interests and commonalities with me. Or it simply because there have been times in my life when I’ve needed someone that had experienced what I was going through and I needed empathy.

On these pages, I’ll share my take on my life lessons, hobbies, and interests- like my extreme love for traveling. I hope you visit often and that you will find something to take with you. Maybe it will be-

  • Peace and Encouragement
  • Goodness in People
  • Just the right travel tip
  • The perfect customized gift from my online boutique or Shannon’s Fun Finds.
  • A recipe that fits your taste, waist, and budget
  • A smile or maybe a laugh or two
I’d love for you to walk beside me through the pages and content and become part of my story.
Together we can step through navigating the now in faith and love as we hope for tomorrow and
Live for the Win.
